Name: Rikku Canon: Final Fantasy X-2 Gender: Female Age: 17 Wing Color: Green, and with a black swirl to match her eyes. History: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Rikku
Canon Point: After the whole song, and scene on the thunder plains, and waiting for Yuna to wake up. Canon Point Explanation: . It is one of the most important scenes since they learn about Shuyin and Lenne, and of course after her cousin passing out after the song will keep Rikku her worried of course, and wonder why her cousin slept in her new Songstress jammies. This way she has something to look forward to while she’s in Luceti.
Personality:
Rikku is an Al Bhed, and overly proud of it. With it comes with knowledge of machina, as well as a certain demeanor. Throughout the years between two years of the calm after defeating Sin, Rikku and a few others Al Bhed’s (Her brother, her buddy, and the smartest little kid with knowledge about spheres.) took it upon themselves to go around Spira and teach people how to use and build new machina, since without Sin, machina is perfectly okay to finally start using again. Then after finding a sphere, and practically kidnapping Yuna, the Gullwings were set and ready to go find more spheres all around Spira.
There are a few things that come along with being an Al Bhed. Of course the swirled purple with green eyes, but their blond hair as well. But that isn’t all, their behavior is easy to notice among all of them. Most have a childlike/eccentric, personality. (Which both Rikku and her brother have.) She shows it off even more so by the way she talks, or stomping her feet if she’s annoyed, saying ‘oh poopie’ when she’s angry, and even going far enough to make her own words. Disasterific being her most well known. And almost always explaining conditions in childish words. Al Bhed are also very expressive. Shown by Rikku in her own unique way. She consistently dances if nothing is going on and she’s in the back ground. Or if they are looking over a place, and she gets excited about a store, it’s pretty easy to know she’s interested it a shop if she’s bouncing around it. Lastly, all of them are pretty much gear heads in some way or another. Either knowing how to work the machina or using it to help find another hidden piece of machina that’s covered in the dry sand.
Being around Spira for almost two years, Rikku has learned quite a lot. While she knows even more about machina that most, she’s also seen the entire world as well. She’s met people from just about everywhere, and knows what they do to get Gil. From that, she can now use that knowledge to use for hunting for spheres. She’s seen all the places, and the landscape, so she can give hits on where something might be. And now, since she’s traveling in a air ship, she can point out places quite easily. This is possibly why she has a seat right next to her brother too.
One thing Rikku is almost all of the time is Happy, pleased, or overly content about things. Growing up and being an Al Bhed has made things hard on her for her whole life, and she hated it. But she’s never let that get to her. She’s proud when she’s arguing someone about faith, and she won’t stop until she’s heard and happy. (Or until someone shuts her up.) But she’s figured out that going through everything with a smile during X had made it easier to deal with everything and by learning that she knows that carrying on with a smile is the best way to go through life. She’ll even make jokes about a big and scary machina that’s attacking her, and having fun lines as she’s about to take out a monster. (Yes, that means that when she uses fire, she asks for a bbq.) And since she’s now coming from X-2, she makes just about anything interesting if she tries. Or at the very least makes a good joke about something. She is not below comparing boob sizes while they are in a sacred hot springs. (She lost.)
She cares deeply for her friends. Her closest friend is of course her cousin, Yuna. Going all through X Rikku has made sure that she can be one of the people protecting her. Being a guardian also means that she can help protect the rest of her friends as well. She’s a great fighter, and can use her skills to give the team a head up in a fight if things are going wrong. And if she can’t help her friends in a battle, her skills can also be used to get them safely out of it as well. She enjoys taking care of her friends, especially now that everybody knows she’s an Al Bhed, and she can flaunt it. Now she can use her special dressphere (Machina Maw) to mow down just about anything that can be a threat to her and her friends. And as long as she has her dresspheres, she’ll be protective of everybody she knows.
While Rikku knows she’s the youngest, and childlike, there’s one thing most people don’t know. She really looked up to Lulu in X, admiring how she handled situations, always staying calm, and always having something fitting to say to what’s going on. But Rikku just doesn’t have that trait. She’s almost always in her childlike self, even when she doesn’t mean it. Things will just slip out, at the worst time possible. Which gets her into trouble sometimes. But sometimes she really, really does try, but the only thing she gets serious about is finding spheres. No one is going to take a sphere from the Gullwings, and will chase them all around Spira to get it back. And there’s no stopping her until it’s back into the Gulling’s hands.
With the Gullwings not just for sphere hunting, but also something for helping out the people of Spira. Even if it’s something as easy as finding someone, or trying to find a wife for a guy that lives in the middle of the farplains. Of course it was Yuna that started it out, but by getting a sphere for the first time after helping someone, of course it came to seem like a really good idea to start helping people out. Right after getting that sphere, the Gullwings were no longer for only sphere hunting, but another way to maybe find spheres that the ship isn’t getting any pings from. So it’s a win in just about every time, even if there wasn’t a sphere, there’s always something good that comes from it.
