[It has already been snowing for a day before Rikku decided it would be interesting enough to go out and see. She really isn't a big fan of the cold. In fact, she would rather be back home in the desert, but it's pretty enough to make it okay to go outside.

She doesn't go far though, but she ends up seated on the ground, right in front of the fountain. For a while she's just playing with the snow, but she's a quick learner when it comes to making snowmen. But she just can't leave it there, she has to add ice to the mix...The end result is a snowman surrounded by a clear ball of ice neatly sitting on the edge of the fountain....and it's a fairly decent size.

Hopefully people like pretty ice things.


Later in the day, when she's back being nice and warm in her room]

I have a weird request. Would anybody be good at cutting holes in some clothes for my wings while I'm wearing them? It's sorta confusing to explain, but it would be very helpful, and I promise I will do something for you in return...since there's no money here. I just really don't want to have them binded again...that hurt.

[Haruka had been intending to go grocery shopping; with the first snow, hot pot sounds like a good idea. He's dressed warmly for the weather, a scarf coiled around his neck and slung over his shoulder, wings poking out of holes in his clothes.

But he's distracted by the snowman that hadn't been there yesterday.

His gaze flickers to the ice, before it returns to the snowman. It's been a long time since he's made snow sculptures. A really long time. He doesn't want to think about that too much. However, there's something missing from this snowman. He stares for a long moment, hand going to his chin as he thinks.

Ah.

He walks towards the snowman, unwinding his scarf, intending to place it onto Rikku's snowman.]

[Rikku sees that he's coming towards the snowman, but she doesn't move from next to it. Instead she just tilts her head.

She really doesn't know how people would react to her snowman, so she just watches.]

[Haruka's gaze slides to Rikku briefly before he actually makes any changes to the snowman. Since she hasn't protested, he goes ahead and winds the scarf around what can be considered the snowman's neck. Once he's done, he steps back. It'd look like he's admiring his handiwork if it his bored expression actually changed.

His gaze snaps to Rikku.]

Hey. Where did you get the ice?

[As far as he's concerned, the ice from the fountain won't be able to make something as large as that ice ball.]

Ooh, are you supposed to dress them up? [Oh yes, she's a total newbie to snow. She's even wearing fingerless gloves, but at least she found a nice warm coat.]

Ice magic.

[Sometimes, Haruka forgets how different people in Luceti can be from Iwatobi. But since the ice is from her rather than an external source, Haruka is loath to come back and try sculpting ice once he finds tools for it; he doesn't want to ask this stranger to make ice for him after all.

He looks away, gaze going to the snow on the ground.]

If you want to.

[He crouches, pushing snow around so he can make a mound of tightly packed snow near the snowman. It's definitely not the same as what he would do if he had intended to make a snowman.]

What else is there to do to dress them up?

[It sounds like fun! She gives him a curious look though.]

...What are you doing?

[It's a fairly sizeable pile, looking to be about the same size as her snowman. He starts removing excess snow with his gloved hands, getting a rough outline that looks vaguely like a crescent moon.]

Making a sculpture.

[Thankfully the snow's fairly wet already. It's a bit more tedious to do this without tools but there's just a certain amount of satisfaction doing this with just his hands. He doesn't even look up when he answers the first question.]

You can dress them in whatever you like. Some people put hats on them.

[Think of something yourself.]

That looks hard.

[Though it's not like she really knows. This is her first experience with the stuff, and making a snowman was hard enough.]

...I don't have a hat...

[But she can think of something better! She get's up, grabs a good handful of snow, and proceeds to give it a mohawk. To remind her of her brother.]

[It's not difficult. But he keeps the thought to himself, focusing on smoothing out the shape of his sculpture. If Haruka hadn't been Haruka, he'd think the mohawk snowman is pretty rad! But, alas, he just thinks it's weird.

A thought occurs to him, but he keeps his gaze on his own handiwork.]

The ice ball needs something.

[It looks a bit out of place next to the mohawked snowman, dressed in his scarf. Maybe she can do something about that. By this time, Haruka's sculpture is starting to take the rough shape of a dolphin, his gloved hands working on shaping the dolphin's snout.]

[A fellow desert dweller dressed in a red coat; Vash had just been on his way to the flower shop when he saw the snowman that is being made. He stops to smile at them.]

That's not too bad a snowman there! What's the big ball of ice for? Is he going bowling? HAHAHAHAHAHA! [He laughs loud and proud at his silly joke.]

I wanted to see what my ice magic would do if I put it around some snow. [And she doesn't get the joke...] Bowling?

Yeah! It could be a giant bowling ball if you put three holes in it! Then it would be like the snowman is taking a REALLY big bowling ball to play with!

How would I make it look like that?

Have you never seen a bowling ball before? [He walks up to the ball of ice and points.] If you put three small holes here, here, and here then it will look a bit like a bowling ball! Just extra large!

There's no bowling in my world. [But she does stare at the ball of ice for a few moments.] I don't know how to put holes in it without breaking it apart.

Ah, well then! Let's make a new ball of ice then! One with the holes in it already!

Ice magic isn't that easy. I only know how to make sheets of ice, and balls.

Are you still having problems with the clothing in your spheres?

Well, it's not like I can do it myself...I'd probably cut off my wings...And the clothes aren't actually designed to come off.

So you need someone capable of cutting them while you're wearing them? [He remembers that Samurai one and why that might be a problem.]

Well, yeah. I don't know that many people here yet, but I wouldn't let anyone that sounds crazy do it. [And she likes to think the best of people.]

[Natural ninja paranoia makes him twitch at that answer.]

I'm not entirely adapt with cutting clothing, but if you haven't found someone you know to do it yet, I'll help you.

It's just cutting a straight line. [Except with her Samurai dressphere. The bindings are gonna need to be messed with.] If you don't mind doing it, that would be nice.
